The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie's biggest fundraising campaign and is held every March. Every donation and daffodil worn helps Marie Curie provide vital care for people living with a terminal illness and support for their families.
In the past, Dean’s have undertaken a number of different events and activities, such as donating shortbread to previous Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Parties and completing the Devils Staircase Mountain Challenge in order to support the charity.
In 2020 we took our fundraising efforts one step further by dedicating our Marie McCoo tin from our Steven Brown Art range to Marie Curie. Marie McCoo is Steven Brown’s caring coo, a champion for charities. She’s a force of nature, an organizer, a bundle of positive energy and always the first to offer help to those in need. Marie wears and daffodil in her hair all year round, and for every Marie McCoo All Butter Shortbread tin sold to wholesalers/retailers, Dean’s donate 3% of that price to Marie Curie.
The McCoo’s are an incredibly popular range and we are delighted that since the launch of our Marie McCoo tin in July 2020, Marie’s sales have raised over £1,000 for Marie Curie!
For the first time in its 35th year history, Marie Curie has had to cancel public collections for the 2021 Great Daffodil Appeal due to the pandemic. To donate and find out more about the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal, click here.
