These cute shortbread marshmallow snowmen are deliciously sweet and so easy to make. Ideal for a sweet treat on Christmas Eve and why not leave one out for Father Christmas to enjoy too!
Icing sugar, for dusting
8 Dean’s All Butter Shortbread Rounds
16 white marshmallows
40g chocolate or decorating icing pens
8 giant chocolate buttons
8 peanut butter cups or Rolos
Chocolate sticks (e.g. Matchmakers)
Follow The Steps
Dust a microwavable plate with icing sugar. Put four shortbread rounds on the plate, leaving space between each biscuit.
Dip four marshmallows into a bowl of cold water and place one on top of each biscuit. Microwave for 20-30 seconds or until the marshmallow melts.
Repeat with the remaining four biscuits and marshmallows and set them aside for 5 minutes.
Using scissors, cut roughly a quarter from the bottom of the remaining marshmallows. Then, stick these on to the biscuits for the snowmen heads.
Melt the chocolate and spoon into a piping bag for the eyes, nose, mouth and buttons. Or, use icing pens.
For the hats, stick the peanut butter cups or Rolos on to the giant buttons, using the melted chocolate / icing pens to stick them together and to secure on the top of the head.
For the arms, break the chocolate sticks into pieces and secure in place with a small amount of the melted chocolate / icing pens.
